Prior to becoming a golf course, Underwood Park was a meandering wet prairie. Over
time, Clabber Creek was narrowed and divided.
In an effort to restore the wet prairie and to prevent the seasonal flooding, the wet
prairie will be expanded to increase habitat and prevent flooding. In addition, the
creek will be cleaned to be able to host a wider variety of biodiversity. Interventions
will be added to create community engagement and for people to be able to enjoy
this beautiful landscape, by bringing back what once was lost.
