A Thoughtful Garden Sequence
By: Fiorella Sibaja
A sequence of gardens to beautify the front of the school and improve the learning experience was the task ahead. A soft garden, characterized by an array of textures and colors, where students have the opportunity to engage
tactile senses amid the gentle foliage. Following this, a vibrant pollinator garden full of biodiversity that
introduces the captivating world of bees and butterflies. Culminating in a tranquil forest garden, where the subtle
rustle of leaves and the soft play of sunlight through the trees offer a contemplative retreat. The plant selection,
chosen for both aesthetic appeal and low-maintenance requirements, ensures the sustained beauty and
functionality of these green spaces. This sequence aims to foster biodiversity, integrate nature seamlessly into the
educational environment, and contribute to an enhanced and sustainable learning experience for
students or anyone strolling through the space.
